Obituary for Arnold R. Rasmussen

Arnold R. Rasmussen, age 81, of Burnsville, MN, entered eternal life on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the University of Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
Arnold was born on June 14, 1935, in Redwood Falls, MN, the son of Arnold and Loretta (Pelzel) Rasmussen. He married Deanna Keahna on July 17, 1967, in Southwest Minnesota.
Arnold served in the United States Army, and was a member of the Savage & Prior Lake Knights of Columbus Council 4914. He was an avid reader, and contributor to the "letter to the editor" column in the Minneapolis Star Tribune. Arnold also enjoyed spending time with his buddies, especially his fishing trips to Alaska, traveling and hiking in Colorado, working out at the Burnsville YMCA. He had been in a bowling league also, with his friends at St. Edward's Catholic Church in Bloomington.
Arnold is survived by his wife, Deanna; brother, Mike and wife, Rachel; nephew, Jim and wife, Jen; niece, Christine; great-niece, Ella. Preceded in death by son, Steven.
