Obituary for Barbara Lee Stordahl

Barbara Lee Stordahl, age 75, formerly of Shakopee, MN, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2017.
Born on August 21, 1941, in Winnebago, MN, to Harold and Marie(Cook) Walker, Barbara grew up on a farm outside of Delavan, MN, and graduated from Delavan High School in 1959. With her former husband, Donald Stordahl, she moved to Shakopee in 1963, and raised three daughters. Barbara worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist, and later as a personal care attendant and home health caregiver to the elderly, giving willingly and generously of her time and talent to anyone needing a friend.
As her treasured grandchildren grew, she spent many hours attending their various school and church activities and athletic events, and in her free time enjoyed quilting, working in her flower garden, and following the Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, and Lynx.
Survived by daughters Diane (Christopher) Kimsal, Janet (Michael) North, and Jill O’Gorman; grandchildren Benjamin, Rachel, Shannon and Karsten Kimsal; Max and Matthew North; Elle, Carter, and Cole O’Gorman; brothers Eldon (Ramona) Walker and Maurice (Sharon) Walker; sister JoAnne Ascheman, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, brother Eugene Walker, and sisters Mary Lou Walker and Shirley Ripley.
