Obituary for Bernard Francis Goehring

Bernard Francis Goehring, age 89 of Shakopee entered eternal life on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at St. Lucas Healthcare Community in Faribault, MN.
Bernard was born on January 18, 1929 in Davenport, Iowa the son of Arthur and Florence (McClure) Goehring. He married Annabelle Rein on June 9, 1948 at Church of St. Mark in Shakopee. Bernard served in the United States Navy during World War II. For 30 years, he worked for Rein Trucking and prior to retirement, he worked 15 years for General Tires in St. Paul.
Bernard is a member of the American Legion Post 2 in Shakopee and a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking, making jewelry and playing cards. He loved taking Sunday drives with Annabelle. Family was very important to him, especially his grandchildren.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Annabelle; children, Ruth Ann Robinson, Sandra (Rick) Rikhus, Glenn (Joanne), Blake (Sherri) and Renee (Jim) Sattler; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Florence; sister, Eleanor Severs; sons-in-law, Dean Shores and Bob Robinson.
