Obituary for Clifford "Cliff" J. Jacobson

Clifford “Cliff” Joseph Jacobson, age 84 of Burnsville entered eternal life on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Augustana Care Center in Apple Valley.

Cliff was born on December 17, 1933 in St. Paul, the son of Clifford and Theresa (Muellner) Jacobson. He graduated from High School in St. Paul and has a Bachelor degree from University of St. Thomas in accounting. Cliff worked for the IRS as an agent. He is also a veteran and served in the United States Army.

Cliff’s favorite number is 7; He met Shirley George during bowling league on lane 7 and later got married on the 7th day of the 7th month in 1962 at Holy Family Catholic Church in St. Paul. Bowling was a passion of his and he instilled the love for the game on his children and grandchildren. He was very proud of his 299 game. Cliff enjoyed fishing, researching his family tree and was a proud member of the IRS retirement association and spent many hours doing volunteer work. He had a knack for history and was willing to give anyone a lesson. He also enjoyed sharing his “grandpa jokes”, including the “NSYNC polka band”. Cliff cherished his family and enjoyed doing family dinners, especially spaghetti or waffles. He loved vacations to the North Star Resort and was the photographer at any family gathering.

Cliff is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley; children, Jeanne (Terry) Blancett, Theresa (Oscar) Gómez, Gregory (Lanie) Jacobson and Colleen Jacobson; grandchildren, Brandon Blancett, Liliana, Catarina and Rosa Gómez, April (Nathan) Warren, Mila and Michael Jacobson; great-grandchildren, Serenity and Elijah Warren; sister, Delores (Duane "Bud") Lindabaur; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford and Theresa; grandson, Matthew Blancett.
