Obituary for Donald D. Miller

Donald Miller, age 81, of Savage, formerly of Redwood Falls, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, in Apple Valley, MN.

Don was born January 5, 1936, in New Ulm, MN, the son of Axel and Lillian (Fast) Miller. On September 25, 1955, Don married his high school sweetheart Ethel Ellanson. They had four children, Kevin (Nancy) Miller of Redwood Falls, Sheryl (Noel) Kempfert of Prior Lake, Kari (Wayne) Nolden of Neenah, WI, and Mark (Monica) Miller of Farmington.

Don loved to travel with Ethel and spend time with 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and an occasional round of golf.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Axel and Lillian; two brothers, Allan and Jerry; and a sister, Margie.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Ecumen Centennial House in Apple Valley for their support in his final days.

Officiating is the Reverend Sandy Rothschiller. Serving as pallbearers are Jared Miller, Justin Miller, Aaron Kempfert, Sam Nolden, Parker Nolden, and Seth Miller. Honorary pallbearers are DJ Doyen and Zander Doyen. Private Interment will be held Tuesday at Zion Cemetery in Hanska, MN. Officiating is Pastor Sarah Taylor.
