Obituary for Glen A. Ladwig

Glen A. Ladwig, age 60 of Savage transitioned into heaven after a long journey, surviving with cancer for two and a half years, on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and daughter. Glen was born on December 18, 1956 in Denison, Iowa the son of William and Helma (Krueger) Ladwig. He was a veteran of the United States Army and spent 33 years as a talented craftsman in custom woodworking and cabinetry. Glen married Maralee Wadsley on September 26, 1985 in Chaska. Glen had a passion for woodworking and music and he loved movies, cars, animals, hiking, fishing, playing cards and spending time with friends and family. He also loved going out for pizza and ice cream with his daughter, Molly. Glen had the kindest soul and strongest spirit, he always wanted to help others and always had a smile on his face.
Glen is survived by his loving wife, Maralee; daughter, Molly; siblings, Larry (Annie), Billy, Judy Bretey, Carol Reis, Gary (Nancy), Donna, Debra (Adam) Lahlou; beloved cat, Mel; many family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Helma; brothers-in-law, Gale Reis and Gene Bretey.

Prayer service at 5:15 PM, followed by military rites provided by the Shakopee Veterans Honor Guard. Following the services at McNearney-Schmidt Funeral and Cremation, there will be an escort back to the families house in Savage, where family will have a memorial and celebration of life.
