Obituary for Henry "Hank" Coyer

Henry “Hank” Coyer, age 85, of Prior Lake, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN.
Hank was born on February 8, 1932, in Crookston, MN, the son of Amil and Hazel (Pulver) Coyer. On November 14, 1960, he married Eileen Lang at Church of St. Mary in Shakopee, MN. They met, at a truck stop in Fairfax, MN, and on their first date Hank told Eileen that they would be married someday.
Hank served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War, and was a member of the Shakopee American Legion Post 2. For 24 years Hank worked for the railroad as a switchman. He enjoyed playing cards at the Shakopee Community Center, volunteering and handling bingo at the American Legion Post 2, and he loved to socialize and meet new people.
Hank is survived by his wife, Eileen; sons, Scott (Jelene), Russ, and Rich (Theresa); grandchildren, Andrea, Nick and Chris Coyer; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Ben and Lillian, Audrina, Zoey and Harper, Jon and Melissa, and Paxton; sister-in-law, Ann. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Victoria; sisters, Audrey (Merton) Johnston and Kathleen (Leonard) Violette; brothers, Lynn (Jean), Jake.
