Obituary for Marlene K. Mork

Marlene K. Mork, age 82 of Shakopee passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.
Marlene was born in Durand, WI on September 13, 1934 the daughter of Albert and Tillie (Johnson) Keenlyne. Marlene married Jim Mork on May 23, 1959 in Durand, WI. She worked for the United States Postal Service in Shakopee for over 15 years as a clerk.
Marlene enjoyed volunteering, especially for Meals on Wheels, Maria’s Children, the Simpson Shelter, and tutoring for Laubach Right to Read Program. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and was very active at her church and with the women's group. Marlene was a Den Mother and helped start the pack and troop 421. Baking was a passion of hers and made sure that there was always something for everyone and also donated a lot to the bake sales at church. She loved to paint and spend time with her children and grandchildren.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Jim; children, Bryan, Mona (Randy) Gansen, Shawn (Kelly); grandchildren, Kailey (Jamie) Seedorf; Tanner Mork, Connor Mork, Hunter Mork; brothers, Leroy Keenlyne and Kent Keenlyne.
She is preceded in death by her siblings, Leota, Doris, Charlotte, Muriel, Jeanne; infant siblings, Carmen and Harland.
