Obituary for Richard "Dick" L. Solseth

Richard "Dick" L. Solseth, age 76 of Savage entered eternal life on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital.
Dick was born on May 27, 1940 in Milroy, MN, the son of Harold and Helen (Edwards) Solseth. He was a veteran of the United States Army. Dick married Elizabeth "Betty" Fastle on June 13, 1964 at St. Olaf Catholic Church in Minneapolis. He was a retired employee of IDS/American Express and worked as an accountant.
Dick loved going to the cabin and spending time out on the lake fishing. Woodworking was a passion of his, along with traveling, even making a few trips to Alaska. He was a true Minnesota sports fan and liked to cheer on the Timberwolves, Vikings, Wild and the Twins. Watching his kids growing up playing sports and then his grandchildren was something very special to him. Dick was very active in Little League and was a Cub Scout leader. He cherished his family most of all and would do anything for his kids.
Dick is survived by wife, Betty; children, Charles (Mary), David (Shereen), James (Ana); grandchildren, Tony (Melanie) and Annie, Lauren, Dustin and Eva; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Elaine (John) Brewers; brother, Harold (Marie); brother-in-law, Peter Schumacher; sister-in-law, Connie Solseth.
He is preceded in death by parents, Harold and Helen; siblings, Pat Ellingson, Jeanine Schumacher, Douglas, Chloris Molle and Leona Jean McLaine.
